I mentioned wifi although know nothing about it. I am happy to spend several hundred dollars even up top $1000 to get a good system working. The Doro 530 series have 2.5mm headset ports as do a few others. As Steve pointed out Online Communications have a good selection of European DECT phones that are well featured. I have 4 Panasonics on a base station here, of the current Panasonics only the KX-TG1861 has a headset jack, but you can mix and match handsets as they are GAP compliant, be warned the cheapest Panasonic KX-TG1811 is not GAP compliant. You can order extra handsets that come with a simple base to hold and charge, but most shops dont carry extra handsets in stock. The best feature I like with DECT phones is the way you can use the system like a proper PABX. Avoid 2.4GHz phones, while they have better range they will kill your Wifi, and the voice quality is rubbish.
